Th is position is located in the Nursing Department of the Chula Vista Veterans Home and is responsible for maintaining the outside and in-facility medical appointment log and a calendar of all resident appointments and unit activities, coordinate all medical appointments and transportation outside the facility, receive, coordinate, log, distribute and file all lab, x-ray, discharge summaries and consultation information.

Working Conditions

Working overtime is a requirement of this position.

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.

If your eligibility requires that you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the class and you qualify under pattern requiring education, then the selected candidate will be required to provide college transcripts prior to appointment
